My Weekend
. . . and piled in. It was a very fun and relaxing afternoon, playing in the lake. Jackson especially liked his rides in the 'boat' or our blow up raft. We all had a lot of fun.
At around 5:00, we drove back to our trailer, and Dad barbecued tri-tip for dinner. And because I'm a descriptive person and a girl, I will describe the rest of our delicious dinner. (Why!!!???? I do not know!) We also had grapes, (YUM!) Potato Salad, (Praise God) and GARLIC BREAD!!!!!!!Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, after dinner we sat and enjoyed the beautiful night, until we went to bed. Now for the interesting part. At around 12:40, we were awaken from a deep sleep by a woman who was honking her horn and screaming. I, being the deep sleeper that I am, didn't hear the honking, but I did awake to hear her scream, "Help me, Please, somebody! My husbands not breathing right, and I can't wake him up." Daddy and Danny hurried outside, and and Danny got on the ham radio to call for help, since there is no cell phone service there. The woman left to go back to her husband after Dad said he would call for help. After the guys got help on the radio, Dan went over to the main road to talk the ambulance in, while Dad went over to the lady's tent, to check on the guy. There was another guy there already, who happened to be a EMT fireman, who was camping at Hope Valley too. The guy who needed help, was breathing/snoring irregularly, they couldn't wake him up, and his eyes were open and glazed over. When the fireman and Daddy asked the lady what he had taken, she finally admitted that he had taken two vicadin's and a methedone, which is used by people who are trying to get off of heroin, and stuff like that. Only this guy had taken it for recreation. Which means the guy pretty much overdosed. After around 40 minutes, the rescue people arrived and called in a helicopter to airlift the guy to the nearest hospital, which was in Reno.
Mom, Samantha, Nick and I were the only ones that woke up besides Dad and Dan, and we stayed inside the trailer, and prayed for the man and his wife. I was so terrified though, when I heard that woman screaming, and until Dad and Danny returned. I was so scared and upset that my teeth were chattering, and mom had to tell me to calm down. Good thing I'm not planning on being a rescue person!
Anyway, that was our exciting camping night. Poor Dad, he didn't get much rest!
The next day we went over to the creek for a while, after breakfast. Then after lunch we packed up and went home. Though I miss Hope Valley, I don't miss the trailer bed and am was very glad to sleep in my regular bed last night.
Well, we are going to go to the pool and cool off, sooooo. . .
Ta ta for now. TTFN.

Aloha, makamaka' (friends)
ALOOOOOOOOHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last week was a blast. I spent the whole week at Outrigger Island, Sierra Baptist Church's V.B.S. I helped with the nursery with my mom, and with 5th and 6th grade. Despite the chaos and noise, it was a very fun time. From freezing cold hose showers every morning with Jane and Mitchel, catchy tunes from Darla, that stayed in your head for hours on end, mission time with Jasmine and Edd Brown learning about missionaries, playing games, and getting drenched with water on Friday, whilst running an obstacle coarse, there was endless fun. Who could forget those delicious treats during Luau! Plus the awesome crafts and the daily Bible lessons! Oh yeah, there certainly was heaps of fun during my week long stay on Outrigger Island.
The Best part was Friday night when all the islanders and their parents came, and the islanders preformed their class's special song. There was even a play, put on by Mitchel, Andrew, Jane, and me. As special as Friday night was, it turned out to be even more special! During the play, in the scene where one of the character's was asking Jesus in to her heart, a little boy, with the help of his V.B.S. teacher, asked Jesus into his heart. PRAISE GOD!!! That made all the work that we did worth it.
My Aunt and Uncle even came up Friday night! The only thing that would have made the night even better would have been if I hadn't been losing my voice due to a cold. But God was good and didn't let my voice give out until the next day.
Outrigger Island was an awesome experience, one that I won't forget anytime soon. I can hardly wait till next year when we'll head off to Australia!
On a side note, I am very sick of being sick, and hope I get over this cold SOON!!!!!!!! I have had it since Thursday, and am ready to be well again.
And today, since I couldn't go to church, after listening to a sermon by Pastor Dave, who is really good by the way, Samantha, Rebecca and I watched Emma, on youtube. Mr. Knightly ROCKS, by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one.
Well, till next time, Aloha!
~Pictures coming soon~

“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned — this is the sum of good government.” Thomas Jefferson.
Enlighten the people, generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day. -Thomas Jefferson
We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus! -John Adams and John Hancock:
“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” -Benjamin Franklin
“Education is useless without the Bible” -Noah Webster
Our 4th of July was a time of fellowship, fun, and celebration. We went to my Uncle Scott and Aunt Lynn's house and got to visit with many of our family. There was food, food and more food! My Uncle Jeff brought his Wii, and we had fun playing on that during the afternoon. Then, when it was dark we all went outside to set off our fireworks. It was a very fun time.
I couldn't help but think though, that our founding fathers would be groaning and rolling over in their graves if they could see our country, and our countries government now. Our freedoms are being stripped from us. We, the people, need to enlighten ourselves on what is going on, and take a stand. We need to remind the government that the Constitution is the foundation for all laws and should not be cast aside or made light of.
