Gossip Town

Have you ever heard of "Gossip Town."
On the shore of "Falsehood Bay?"
Where "Old Dame Rumor," with the
rustling gown,
Is going the live-long day?
It isn't far to "Gossip Town"
For people who want to go,
The "Idleness Train" will take you down
In just an hour or so.
~
The "Thoughtless Road" is a popular route
And most folks start that way.
But it's a steep down grade and if you don't
look out
You'll land in "Falsehood Bay!
"You glide through the "Valley of Vicious
Folk"
And into the "Tunnel of Hate"
Then, crossing the "Add-To-Bridge," you
walk
Right through the City Gate.
~
The principal street is called, "They Say"
And "I've Heard" is the public well,
And the breezes that blow from "Falsehood
Bay"
Are laden with "Don't You Tell!"
In the midst of the town is "Telltale Park"
You're never quite safe while there,
For it's owner is "Madam Suspicious
Remark,"
Who lives on the street "Don't Care."
~
Just back of the park is "Slanderous Row"'
Twas there that "Good Name" died,
Pierced by the dart from "Jealousy's Bow"
In the hands of "Envious Pride."
From Gossip Town peace long since fled,
But Trouble, Grief and Woe
And Sorrow and Care you'll meet instead
If ever you chance to go!

Without You

Without You

Imagine me without you,
Oh, I would be so confused
Life would have no meaning then,
I'd be sad and full of sin.
Oh, imagine me, without you.

Imagine me without you,
I'd be wretched, hopeless too.
I'd be on my knees in pain,
My life would be one big stain.
Oh, imagine me without you

Imagine me without you,
Wouldn't I be oh, so blue!
I'd have no real joy or peace,
My agony would not cease.
Oh, imagine me, without you.

Jesus imagine me without you.
Oh, I can't even imagine me,
without you!

Cool, huh?

My mom and I made a song. Ain't that cool. I mean, your average mom and daughter don't write songs together, now do they? I had written a poem, and my mom saw it when she was at the piano, and using her amazing piano playing skills, talent, and ability, she wrote music for it. So now we're a team. I write the lyrics, she writes the music. Now that's cool!

Thank You, Lord

Oh, Lord, you've done so much for me.
You died to set me free.
And when You hung upon that tree,
You became heaven's key.

Chorus:

Thank you Lord!
Thank you, Lord!
You bled and died to rescue me,
Opened my eyes, that I could see,
Thank you Lord, for saving me.

I've sinned against you o'er and o'er,
but You just love me more.
Lord, You have made my heart to soar,
Tis You, whom I'll adore!

Chorus:

Thank you Lord!
Thank you, Lord!
You bled and died to rescue me,
Opened my eyes, that I could see,
Thank you for saving me.

Lord, Your love is amazing,
and it is so unchanging.
Your mercy is unfailing,
You are so worth praising!

Chorus:

Thank you Lord!
Thank you, Lord!
You bled and died to rescue me,
Opened my eyes, that I could see,
Thank you Lord, for saving me.

Thanks for what you've done for me,
for setting my soul free,
Thank you Lord, for ransoming me,
and helping me see.

Chorus
Thank you, Lord,
Thank you, Lord
You bled and died to rescue me,
opened my eyes that I could see,
Thank you, Lord for saving me.

Tag: Thank you Lord, for loving me.

He Keeps on Running

I wrote this poem about a year ago. It is dedicated to one of my relatives, who is unsaved.
He Keeps on Running

He keeps on running
headlong in the wrong direction
He will not heed the pleadings from
the ones who care.
He will not listen, he shuts his ears,
he closes his eyes so he will not see.
Like the Jewish pharisees
He ignores the obvious truth
he keeps on running
headlong in the wrong direction.

Upon their weary knees
they offer up many a plea.
in tears over an open Bible
entreating for God to help.
For though they set him
an example to follow
and show him the wonder
of Gods loving grace and mercy
He takes no notice,
he plunges on through the brambles.
Like a dog enjoys its own vomit,
So he enjoys his sin.

He keeps on running
headlong in the wrong direction
He will not be reached;
he will not take heed.
He continues to hurt those who love him;
he ignores their prayers and pleas.
Stubborn and stupid,
a fool and a punk
an idiot and a jerk
He continues his brainless run
headlong in the wrong direction.

Please dear God, oh please
help this foolish wanderer
the prodigal son in modern time
this sinful unsaved man.
Please do what it takes to
bring him on his knees,
to bring him to You.
Please save this foolish wanderer who is running
headlong in the wrong direction.

Be Thou My Vision, O Lord of my heart!

Be Thou My Vision
Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Catching Up

Well, It's been awhile since I've blogged, hasn't it. I guess I'll start with last Friday. Last Friday, we had a party. It was a Colette's leaving, school is starting back up, summer is ending, youth, shebang. We ended up having like over 20 people in all, counting my family. Hayley, Tyler, Colette, *Jane*, Nathaniel, Jason, Andy, Hayley and Tyler's three new neighbors, Andy's friend, and Bo. It was a fun time. We had pizza for dinner, and then after that, we waited till it was dark to have a treasure hunt, which mom had done for us. That was really fun, and the prize was candy, so we were happy. Hayley and Tyler, along with their friends had to leave early though, so they couldn't do the treasure hunt. I was sad about that. After the treasure hunt, we had fun playing outside. Then Danny, Colette, and Bo jammed on their instrements,(Colette on Violin, Danny on harmonica, and Bo on electric guitar), before everyone went home. It was a fun time.

The Sunday night after the party, we played Canon in D for the church. We were going to do it in the morning, but Danny had to work.
Monday, Colette,*Jane*, and Nathaniel came over at night. Jane and Nathaniel came to the pool with us for a while and Colette met us there. They stayed the night at our house, and at 2:30 a.m, I believe, Danny woke us up and we went to a place twenty miles away from our house that had a good view of the sky, to watch the meteor shower. It was awesome. Not to mention FUN! (despite the tiredness). After the sunrise we came back home, stopping to drop Nathaniel off at hi home. Jane was coming home with us, and Colette stayed for a while and then she had to leave; for college. It was very hard to see my Colettie leave. I was fighting tears as she drove off. After she left, Jane helped us pack for the camping trip that me and my family were leaving for the next day, which helped to take our mind off of the fact that Colette was gone. That night after we were done packing, Jane straightened my hair, with her hair-straightener, that she had brought. Thank's Jane!
Jane's family picked her up after Nathaniel's Karate class. Then came the hard part. I had nothing to do to occupy my mind and keep me from thinking of Colette. And I had no Jane to comfort me. I went to bed and cried! I missed my Coco, and I wanted her to come back. (I still do.)

Moving on, before I start crying again. Wednesday we drove to Donner State Park(or is it Donner Lake State Park? I don't know). It was a wonderfully fun camping trip. We spent alot of time in the lake, which was awesome, since it was HOT there. And we spent the evening's gathered around the campfire, roasting marshmellows. And the party animals that we are, on Friday night, we stayed up till. . .NINE O'CLOCK p.m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHOOOOHOOOOO!
Twas rather boring at night though. I mean, there were no guys' overdosing on drugs, no women screaming for help in the middle of the night, nothing. =) We got back Saturday, and I was rather tired, but it was worth it. Twas very fun!
Sunday, we had church, as usual. But, there was no violinist, no violin, no Colette. And that made me sad. I stayed after church, because I had told someone at my church that I would wash the dishes, with Jane's help, after everyone was done eating.(we're baptists. we eat after the morning service). After we finished eating and cleaning, Mr. Bland, or 'Daddy Bland' as I call him sometimes, offered to take me home. Then Jane suggested maybe they could take me to her house, and then when they took Mr. Bland to the airport in Sacramento(he had to go somewhere for his work) they could take me with them. Mrs. Bland, or 'Mommy Bland' and Mr. Bland consented and I got permission from mom, threw on a change of clothes and hurried back to the Bland's car. We hung out at her house for a bit, while she pack, since her, her mom and Nathaniel were going to Tracy the next day. Then it was time to take Mr. Bland to the airport. On the way there, we stopped by Jamba Juice, where they were kind enough to buy me half of one(Jane and I split one). THANK YOU, second family!!!!!!!!!! After we dropped off 'Daddy B.' at the airport, Mommy B. had some shopping to do, so we did that. After that, we eat In-And-Out for dinner. It was around nine thirty when I got home, and I was tired. But I am so thankful and grateful that they took me. They are one of the nicest families I know, and are very kind to me. THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday we started school. *sigh* It wasn't that bad though and I actually didn't mind too much. Well, I am running out of things to say, and since Blogger is being a pill, and won't let me post pictures, I will end with a poem I wrote for my dear friend, Colette.

For My Awesome Friend, Colette.

You were always there to listen to me,
my rants, my joy, my problems.
You were always willing to advise me,
and patiently listen to my whims.

You lit up my life, you were a true friend,
my problems and issues you'd mend.
On you I could depend,
and you I will always defend.

You could always make me smile
And you could make any one like you.
Oh, you always went the extra mile,
and you were fond of things from Belgique.

You were impossible to rile,
at least most the time,
You were always full of style,
Oh, yes, you were sublime.

I will miss your smiles, Colettie
I'll miss your good natured teasing.
I will miss you Colettie,
You were everything pleasing.

I want to be selfish,
I want you to stay,
It fills me with anguish,
knowing you will soon be away.

But I must say goodbye,
I must let you go.
Though I want to cry,
You'll succeed in everything, I know.

I love you Colette,
don't you forget.
I'll never forget you, Colette,
You're a friend I'll never regret.

God Bless You and Your Life.

A Taste of His Own Medicine! Muhahahahaha!

Saturday night, Danny, Nick and I went to our good friend Colette's house, for a murder mystery dinner party. We all dressed up as different character's. Danny was Collum Inches, the tall, dark, handsome and mysterious journalist. Nick was the french man, Luc Du Mifur-Elp. And I was Marie Mee, an actress, and the gold digging and fortune lusting girlfriend of Monty's adopted son. Nathaniel and 'Jane' also attended the party, Nathaniel as Hurry Montague, the spoiled adopted son of Monty Montague, who was the murder victim.( Monty, not Nathaniel). 'Jane' as May B. Gudasgold, the half-sister of Monty's sister, who committed suicide, three years ago. Colette was Leonora Lacey-Draws, the mistress of Monty and lover of Danny(oh, pardon me, Colum). The party twas very fun, though it did have a couple parts that were rather, shall we say, PG13. But we didn't know at the time that those parts were in the game. Dinner was spaghetti and garlic bread and was delicious. And the murder mystery was very fun and amusing. Nick, or should I say Luc, and May B. Gudasgold were discovered to be lovers, and Colum and Leonora, as I've already said, were discover to be lovers also. Marie and Hurry were found to be the murderers of Monty's wife. And all of us had dark secrets and turned out to be rather godless, bad people. Nick was a Herbalist, who gave people herbs, that were. . . well special, as they were imported from South America. Leonora was on the Nazi's side. I was Hurry's assistant, when he murdered his mother. I also was rather immoral, it seems. ( on a side note, I was NOT happy when I found out about my character's life style). Hurry was the murderer of his mother, as I've said. And May had the past of a black-mailer, gambler and the like, and had a drinking problem. And Colum was discover to be the father of Hurry ( that was entertaining, as Nathaniel is only 2 1/2 years younger then Danny) as well as the would be murderer of May. Unfortunately, Monty drank the drugged whiskey, instead of May, and so Danny was the murderer of Michael (Monty) Montague! Danny was also discover to be very unstable. It twas a very, very, fun and amusing evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(despite the bad parts).
Nick and his French sneer

On a totally different subject, Tuesday, at karate, I was tested for my yellow belt, and thankfully passed. I am now a Yellow Belt. I am happy! I got to sparr Tuesday too, which I love to do, despite being punched and kicked! We also got to watch half of Mansfield Park, which was fun, though it is nothing like the book, and they have ruined it immensely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today we went to my grandparents house to visit. My grandma is doing much better now, though she is still, of course, in a wheel chair. She can't put any weight on her leg right now. My Aunt Lynn came over too, and I enjoyed visiting with grandma and grandpa, and with Aunty Lynn. Twas fun.
Anyway, I have had a fun couple of days and am thankful for the Lords blessings He bestows upon me and my family. Tomorrow Danny, Nathaniel, 'Jane', Colette, and I are going to the house of a man from our church who is very sick, and are play Canon in D for him, as he likes that song a lot. We are also going to be playing his favorite hymn, which is 'It Is Well With My Soul'. Hopefully we can bless his day.

Well that is all for now. Au Revoir.

Love is not love

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
~William Shakespeare~

Boring Ramblings that go on and on and on!!!!!

Well, I have had a good week. Tuesday I had karate class, Wednesday I went with my brothers Dan and Nick, and hiked thunder mountain(which was exhausting by the way) and yesterday Nick and I got to go to my sissy's house. We (Danny, Jane's brother, my dear friend Colette, and me) are practicing a song we want to play in church, and so we went there to practice and hang out. Danny had to work so he couldn't come, but we still got some practicing in. And we got to study the game that we are planning on playing. It is a murder mystery party, and should be fun. Colette, Jane, and I picked out which person should play which character. It was fun. After hanging out and practicing, Jane's mom and dad took us to Karate class. That was fun too. We got to spar, which we haven't done at class in a while, which I enjoyed, until I got kicked in the ribs. OWWWW!!!!!!!! Oh, well, it's part of life.

Anyway, about Thursday. Now, it was a very fun time, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it and the view from the top was awesome. But. . . I had to get up at 6:30 in the morning! That is not a good way to start off the day, come on! Especially when Danny wakes you up! But anyway. Once I woke up, it was o.k. Till about fifteen minutes into the hike, when lazy, out of shape me started panting. I thought I was going to pass out towards the end of the hike, I was so exhausted!!!!!!!! The view at the top though, almost made it worth it. It was very peaceful, sitting on the very top, on a rock, looking out over the vast earth below. It is be a good place to go and just think. ( though it takes a while to get there) It was a fun hike over all!

Today, we cleaned house till eleven, then we ate lunch and went to the pool for about an hour. After cooling off there, we came home, Jackson went down for a nap, and we watched the new Pride and Prejudice, which my sissy, Jane, kindly lent to us. This evening, Mom and Dad went out to eat together, because today is their wedding anniversary. They are the best parents ever, by the way.

Well, that enough rambling for now. I guess I shut up now. TTFN.
