I"m sitting at my desk in my dorm room, sniffling and snorting and blowing my nose, due to the attack of a cold. My room is quite clean and organized, at least for me. I have spent this lovely Sunday morning listening to John Macarthur, drinking tea, and cleaning my room. I even vacuumed. After a wonderful Christmas break, spent with family and friends in beautiful Pioneer, I have returned to the not so beautiful Riverside. My first two weeks of school have gone smoothly, with exception of the cold that so rudely attacked me this past week. In fact, these first two weeks of my second semester here at CBU have been delightful, pleasant weeks, full of fun and happiness. Life at CBU has become the norm.....the routine. I still miss my family, of course, but I do believe I"m made the transition at long last. I have loved these past two weeks. I have come to the decision that I love it at CBU. I still think Riverside is a dreadfully ugly, polluted place, with air dirty enough to kill a person, and lacking in the beauty of my mountains though. But I digress. I love all of my professors. They make the more boring classes tolerable and the enjoyable classes even more enjoyable. I have been on various outings and adventures with Colette and the wonderful string players of UCO, namely Cassie, John, Victor, Pedro, and Margaret. Last weekend, we spent the night at Cassie's house, and had a delightful time. She happens to have a jacuzzi in her back yard.......we made good use of it. We have made quite a few trips to The Coffee Bean and Boba. (I tend to get the drinks that don't have boba in them though........as it is a disgusting substance that has the consistency of snot). I love those people. They make me smile. Last semester I was out of my element. This semester, I got back into my element. I am happy and more content. The only thing missing is my family. CBU, Russia. It's my second home now.
