Thankful Tuesday!

I am thankful for this beautiful fall weather that we're having today! I absolutely love Fall! It is so pretty, and crisp, and delightful! Come on, who doesn't love Fall? It's almost a sin not to be in love with Fall! It's so...so...wonderful! Unbelievably vivid colors everywhere, with beautiful oranges, yellows, and browns; invigorating wind blowing your hair in every direction, and tossing the brilliantly colored leaves around, in flurries; the clean, damp, smell the earth gets after it rains, is in the air.; the sound of honking geese making their way south; the smell of pumpkin pie spice, and apple pie, turkey cooking in the oven, and candles burning; snuggling under blankets and drinking hot chocolate and mocha's and lattes; the crackling of a glowing fire in the living room; sipping hot apple cider; and so much more! It's beautiful, awesome, amazing! Thank you God, for giving us Fall!

I am thankful that I am free to read God's word without persecution, and I am thankful for the promises that God has nestled all throughout the Bible, such as......

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.
~Psalm 28: 7-8~

You're a cat....not a dog!

My cat thinks he's a dog. Really! He chases his tail....which is an activity that dogs love to partake in. He drinks out of the toilet, the doggies wonderful, never failing, water bowl. He digs in the trashcan and knocks it over. He goes running over to trash cans to sniff all around them. And he goes walking with us! We go out for a walk almost every school morning, and he follows us.....today, he followed us the whole walk! He skulks behind us, over to the side of the road in the bushes most of the time. Sometimes he runs between us, sometimes he takes the lead. And he seems to find it the most pleasure he's had since the last walk. It's so funny! He thinks he's a dog.....really. My cat's psychotic!!!!! Wait....I guess that's why he's mine. "Charlie, you're a cat! You are not a dog! Charlemagne.....you have issues!"

I love my psychotic, crazy, dorky, outdoors loving, cat who thinks he's a dog!

My Bubba and I!

Silliness :)Oh, yes, he's mine.......

All mine!

Isn't he such a cutie pahtootie!

Jackson and I playing pirates. Ya know, it's funny, but for some reason, I always got the small knife, and he got the big sword.....

Prince Jackson of the Seven Seas!
And here is the random picture of the day! This is one of the Chemistry Experiments I did. I stuck this egg in a cup of vinegar over night. The vinegar ate away the shell. It was pretty cool! You really should try it someday. Really, you should!

How my weeks been going.....

Ah, don't you wish you could sleep this relaxed?

I think he was trying to drive in his dream or something........or maybe he was playing football, and they made the field goal!

Samantha's new hair-do

I really think I should live in a bubble......it might be safer and healthier for me! Really. I'm still getting over my cold, and it's rather annoying.....but it could be worse. I'm rather sick of being sick all the time though. Maybe the removal of my tonsil's is going to help that! I hope so. Last night I hurt my wrist too, picking up Jackson of all things, so that's irritating. I picked him up and my wrist 'popped' and started hurting. It only hurt for a bit though, and I forgot about it while doing Karate class. But when I woke up this morning it hurt quite a bit, and it cracks now in a painful and somewhat loud way. Not cool! My ankle seems to be finally better though, which is good. Of course, it'd be nice if my ankle and my wrist were better....but it's not to be apparently.

I did have fun at AWANA Wednesday though. The bible study is interesting, and the games were fun. And Karate class was fun too, though my lazy part of me protested. :) Those young Sensei's get to exercise happy. And I'm out of shape......and lazy. :)

I've also been getting closer to the Lord this past week, and my walk with Him is getting better, which is of course a good thing! It seems like it's so easy to get distracted, and take my eyes and focus off God. Which really is weird, in a sense, seeing as I owe everything to Him! He took the punishment that was for me and the death that should have been mine. I should have been the one spat upon, scorned, mocked, and laughed at. I should have been the one hanging there on that cross, and the one that died a lost sinner's death! But Christ did it for me, because He loved me. Of course, in another sense, it's not really weird, considering I am sinner, and my human nature loves to try and drag me back down.

Well, I'm done rambling, for the moment. :)

Thankful Tuesdays!

I realized that I haven't done a 'Thankful Tuesday' post in a while! So I'm doing one this week!

I am thankful that we were able to go on vacation for a whole week at the beach as a family! I am thankful that it was a safe trip and a fun trip.

I am thankful that my dad still has a job, as so many people right now do not!

I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, clothes to wear, and food to eat.

I am thankful for the blessing of sight, sound, smell, and the sense of touch.

I am thankful for my family, who are my best friends, and who I love so much!

I am thankful that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and I know that He will always be there for me, no matter what. I am thankful that I can talk to Him, and walk with Him, and can read His word! I am thankful that I am free to do this openly, and am free to own and read the Bible!

Back from Paradise!

Well, I spent the last week with my family in Pismo, on the beach! IT. WAS. THE. MOST. AWESOME. VACATION. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so awesome! I had the greatest time in the world! And I miss the beach now! We went to the beach everyday, despite the fact that the weather was rather foggy and cold. It was still cool! We drove on the beach and did donuts and such like that, which was fun! We even saw a couple seals on the beach, which was neat. And we body surfed! Insane fun! By the way, River Raft tubes, are tons of fun to use in the ocean! You should totally try it! Really! I so love body surfing in the ocean.......but I want a wet suit, that water gets cold! Oh! We also have fifty billion, gazillion, sand dollars now, which we collected. There were a lot of them. Here are some pictures from the vacation...and mom, you may have beat me in the race to post about vacation first, but I think I posted more pictures. :)

These two pelicans were out on the pier, just sitting there. We got to feed them some dead fish that a kind fisherman gave us to use.
Here's Dad 'holding' the pelican.....we were fooling around with the camera.

Me, 'holding' the pelican......
Out on the pier
Jackson was not enjoying the picture taking, apparently.....
This was in the shops at the pier. Jackson was quite happy to get a ride!
One day we went to a little playground. Jack thought the large sea animal statues were pretty cool....until he got on them and realized how hot they were from sitting in the sun!
Joey, inside one of the three huge dinosaur eggs, at the park.
Jacko Bean and I
He's hatching!
I always wanted to ride a whale.....though that whale was hot! It burned my poor hands and legs.
Samantha, Joe, and Becca on the tire swing.
Dad and Samantha
Becca on the beach
We ate lunch at McDonald's one day, and Jackson thought the giant Ronald McDonald was pretty neat!
This was one of the seals that we saw that came up on the beach. We named this one 'Ray Charles', because he was constantly swinging his head back and forth.....he was sick, and dying.
We went to Windmill Farms which has a little petting zoo. Here's Nick with one of the goats.
Becca feeding the goats
Becca and Sam with the miniature horse
Joey and Becca with the goats.
Jackson and I feeding the goats a leaf
The next six pictures are of us when we were on the beach waiting for the sunset.
My new favorite picture of Jackson and me together. I just love this picture!
The sunset....it wasn't as pretty as it could of been, because of the fog, but it still was pretty.
Me and my baby boy!
This is me with the foil ball that we made. I'll have you know we had a rousing game of Kickball with that thing! Home-schoolers are creative! And hey, we didn't have a real ball. Sometimes you have to get creative!
Yay for the beach, the ocean, and family camping trips!

Humph!

Well, this should be a happy post, because we are leaving tomorrow for a week at Pismo......but it's hard to have happy thoughts when you feel like complete crud and your throat is burning on fire and in pain and you are tired! I've been sick just about all week, but it was nothing terrible, and it felt like I was getting better, until last night. Last night, my throat started hurting and it hurt all night long, cheating me out of a good nights sleep. And now, that stupid sore throat has still not gone a way, despite Advil's, hot tea, hot pickle juice, and hot lemon-aid. Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow! This is the camping trip I've been waiting for all summer, and it would be horrible if I was sick all week! I love the ocean and I better not have this killer sore throat the whole time we're there. I'll be glad when my tonsils are out!

Anyways, today we are busy packing, and tomorrow morning we leave. Yay! .....and that's the most happy excitement you're gonna get out of me today.....

In other news, my awesome big brother got his Brown Belt, Thursday! No one else from our family was able to make it to Karate to see if we got our belts, since we were all sick, but Danny was able to go. Yay him! Hopefully, Nick will be getting his brown belt also, Becca will be getting a yellow belt, Samantha and Joey, blue belts, and I'll be getting a purple belt.......hopefully! But, I'm too tired and cruddy feeling to write anymore right now. If anyone reading this knows sore throat remidies, by the way, please comment and give them to me! I'll try anything! :)

TA DAH!

Okay, so remember a few posts back, I said we got new carpet in our bedrooms? Well, the girls room got more then new carpet......it got a whole new make over, complete with a new paint job! Here is my beauteous room!

Samantha and Becca's beds

Samantha's little nook

My desk area

The beautiful paint job, and the area by the door. If you look closely, you'll see two karate belts....those are mine! :) Of course, I now will soon have a green one hanging with those. Hopefully.

The pretty blue carpet! (ignore the little piece of paper, I don't know where that came from. I don't remember seeing it there when I took the picture).

Well, there are the pictures of my wonderful, awesome, beautiful room! And yes, I like purple and blue!
