Random things in my life lately

I know, I know, I haven't posted in a while. But, hey, I've been busy.

Jackson is SO cute. The other night, after his bath, he was sitting on dad's lap and driving his toy cars over Dad's head and up and down his shirt, and over his arms and back over his head through his hair, while making car noise's and making the cars crash. It was so amusing to watch! I love him so much and he's such a cutie pie. All day Friday he thought we were going to grandma's house too, and kept telling me about it and talking about grandma and he was really excited. I kept telling him that we weren't going to grandma's until tomorrow(Saterday) but he wouldn't listen. So Friday night, when mom put him to bed, he was so upset!

"I wanna go to gramma's" ! So mom called grandma, to let him say goodnight. She wasn't home so Jack left a message on her answering machine. She called back later, and Jack was still awake, so he got to say good night to her. It was so adorable.

Yesterday we went to my grandmas(I had to get up at 6:39!!!!) so the ladies of our family could go to a Mother's Day Brunch, at my grandparents church. Granma was the speaker. My Aunts and girl cousins came to. It was really cool. There was lots of food, which is a good thing, and we got to visit with family. Grandma's speach was really good too! I really liked it. It was on a cheerful heart. We had a good time, but Jackson almost ended the happy day. When we had arrived at grandma's, we had parked across the street. We had moved the car though and it was in the drive way. We were leaving Jackson thought that we were still parked across the street, and started running for the road. I was the only one that saw him and yelled for him to stop while I went after him. He, hearing me call him, of course ran faster. Well, a car was driving by at the same time he reached the road. The car was pretty close to Jack when he finally stopped. The poor lady driving the car stopped after passing him, and just sat there. I think she was crying and was upset. For a minute, I think she thought she had hit Jack. She drove off after a minute, but it scared her. Mom turned around after the car had passed Jack so she didn't have time to be scared. I, on the other hand, and watched him run for the street, heard the car coming and seen it out of the corner of my eye, and and ran after Jack screaching at him to stop. It freaked the living daylights out of me. Thank God that Jack wasn't hit!!!!!!!!!!

Nick, yesterday, went to a ham radio test. He passed with flying grades(he got 100% on his test) and is now another Ham. That makes five of us Hams in our house! GO NICK!

All in all I have had a good last couple of days, though Jackson scared me half to death. One of my best friends, Jane Bingley, started a blog of her own, called the Endless Rambles of a Christian Conservative Mind, http://erccm.blogspot.com/ , which is cool. And life has been good. So yeah! God is good! Well, I have to get off of the computer, and I am running out of things to say anyways, so I will end this with the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by Steven Curtis Chapman. I will post some pictures of Nick the ham, and of the brunch at the church soon.

She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin''
''Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I'd approve of a dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.

Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's due six months awayAnd I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song, (even one song)
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

Note: Right after I wrote this post,(which was yesterday night) Jackson ran into the laundry room, wanting to go outside and see Dan. There was a clatter and then crying. He know has a eye that is turning black and bruising and a welt that streches from right next to his eye to across his cheek. He must have fell and hit right himself on something right next to his eye. God is good though, cause if Jacko had been hit less then an inch over he would be probably be at the hospital right now. Thank you Lord!

Now the poor baby has a really painful looking eye. It hurt's me to look at it. OWWWWW! He's alright no though.
